KRAV MAGA MEANS «CONTACT COMBAT»

Krav Maga system is the only self-protection system completely built for its intended purpose, that is, for self-protection. It is a system of tactical fighting that includes how to prevent, deal with, and eliminate all kinds of attacks and all forms of violence. It was developed and refined through the experience of true battle. It prepares trainees in addition to self-defense, in combat and battle skills, with one or more opponents, unarmed or armed. Also, in the ability to defend others, in a distinct and “natural” way of education.

Imi developed a comprehensible system based on simple, instinctive reactions easily applicable to everyone, without difficult movements and techniques that require long training. The goal has been, and continues to be, to make training effective and in a short time to prepare the trainee for the challenges he will face. Training is built on real-life scenarios of attack under any circumstances (on the road, at home, in the car, in the workplace, etc.).

It faces modern threats that did not exist in earlier times, for which it is not a martial art and is not accounted for in traditional martial arts. It was developed for use on the road or in unorthodox conditions, so it goes without saying that there are no rules and that is why it is not a sport.

Techniques are effective as they are constantly evaluated and evolved based on practical experience of using them in true conditions.

The Krav Maga system is unique, with a specific purpose, up to date, for the people who want to invest in their survival.

PRINCIPLES OF KRAV MAGA

The basic principles of the Krav Maga system are:

  • There are no rules. When it comes to survival everything is allowed.
  • Use of the person’s reflexive reaction.
  • Physical kinesiology.
  • Simultaneous counterattack or as soon as possible.
  • Targeting the vulnerable parts of the human body.
  • Managing the attack with minimal resources and forces.
  • Use of objects from the surrounding area.
  • De escalation.
  • Preventive actions.
  • Neutralize the threat.
  • Tactical behavior.

Krav Maga decisively uses the techniques and counterattacks to end the “fight” quickly. In a violent street attack, everyone has the right to use whatever techniques are necessary (within the limits set by law) to defend himself / herself.

THE RESULT

  • Strengthening one’s self-confidence.
  • Awareness of one’s abilities.
  • Improving Fitness.
  • Ability to progressive escalation.
  • To reach a level where the individual is capable of dealing with any threat without having to take human life.

TRAINING – METHODOLOGY

Krav Maga is not just about physical activity. A central part of Krav Maga is its learning process, methodology and ways of learning it.

When a person is confronted with a dangerous situation on the road, he should think that he is already dead and then give up the race with nothing, since from this situation his future can only be better.

Physical preparation.

  • Workout with customized exercises related to the respective techniques.
  • Each trainee is trained on his or her own fitness level.
  • The goal is continuous physical improvement.

Mental preparation.

  • To recognize the attack
  • For the tactical moves offered (de-escalation, avoidance of confrontation, escape etc.)
  • For the tactics of attackers, the ways and tricks they use.
  • For the number of attackers
  • On the conditions that the attack can occur ( surrounding area, lighting conditions etc.)

Psychological preparation.

  • Increased self-confidence and aggression management
  • The training methods are specifically designed to prepare the trainee to work under stress and the shock of a violent attack.

Learners can acquire and maintain a high level of competence in a short period of time.
